Bronze at the National Culinary Challenge

Alex Winslade and Kaden Skeggs were awarded bronze in the grand final of the National Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge.

Congratulations to Alex Winslade and Kaden Skeggs on being awarded bronze - and over $500 worth of prizes each - in the grand final of the National Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge.

Held yesterday at the Manukau Institute of Technology in Auckland, Alex and Kaden produced the following menu: 

Entrée:

Ravioli filled with creamy parsnip puree, sitting on a velvety chardonnay Beurre Blanc, topped with crispy parsnip, basil oil and garnished with chef’s kiss.

Main: 

Applewood smoked Waitoa chicken breast with maple kumara puree, garlic roasted baby carrots, sautéedbroccolini, chimichurri, and crispy crackling.
